Different body shapes - different clothes?

The answer to the question whether body size should influence the choice of clothing, is a definite “yes”. Because every woman has a different figure, it is important to always pay attention to individual aspects. Women have differently shaped hips, midsections and buttocks. Among these shapes are also different advantages and disadvantages. However, regardless of the shape you posses, there are a few golden rules that I would like to bring to your attention...

Ladies with height issues should pay particular attention to the length of their clothing. I advise to abstain from wearing short tops as they may accentuate a short upper- or lower body.

Particularly effective, if you like to hide an additional weight issue, is the combination of a jacket with pants and shirt. The choice of pants is important; the leg should not be very wide. You can wear pants with a shirt under a long jacket, or even a frock. This combination visually thins the legs and conceals problem zones in the midsection.

You should also pay great attention to the design of your clothes. Rule of thumb is: horizontal lines make you appear wider and shorter, while vertical lines make you appear thinner and taller! Therefore, I recommend vertical lines in dark colors.

Women with bust size issues can help themselves easily with a few tricks. A large bust should be shown, not hidden. A plunging neckline enhances a feminine cleavage and creates a smaller bust. A small neckline is not recommended for a large bust. It makes the bust appear even larger.

Women with a smaller bust, like myself, should help themselves with a few useful tools, such as a push-up bra. I only wear push-up bras and feel very comfortable. Moreover, you can enhance your bust by wearing rushed, pleated or pearl-embroidered tops. This will add visually volume to your neckline! So ladies, do not give up!

Women who are very tall can decide to hide or emphasize this aspect. If you want to accentuate your long, slender legs, you can wear short skirts or dresses. Cover yourself with vest or frock and use a belt. Additionally, wear high heels and you will never want to change again!

However, if you want to conceal your height, you should wear pants with a wide and straight cut. A low hip works especially well in lengthening the upper body and shortening the leg. On top wear simply a long tunic and with these few tricks your problem has disappeared.

The choice of fabric is also very important in helping to conceal your problem zones. Heavier women should wear matt, light and loose fabrics. Slender, tall women can wear shiny and firm fabrics, such as silk satin. Every fabric has its advantages and its disadvantages. The art of dressing is in identifying these advantages and using them effectively.

I hope to have helped you a little bit with this information. The fashion industry is a grand emporium with many tricks. My goal was to try to bring some of these tricks and rules to you, in hope you will find them useful. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Truly yours,
Ines
