What color does fit me the best?

Finding the right color is, besides finding the right cut, one of the most important details that need to be considered in fashion. The color palate of the fashion industry is enormous. It is important to find a color that makes you feel comfortable and that matches your personality, your hair, your eyes and your skin tone. Unfortunately, I cannot make this decision for you, but I can share with you my knowledge of the general rules of the fashion industry.

The first aspect to consider is the color of your hair. Women with light hair should wear candid, friendly and soft colors. Blondes look particularly good in pastel tones. Colors such as rosé, mint, apple and baby blue are made for blondes. However, they can also wear stronger tones, such as cobalt blue or turquoise. Blonde hair creates a very soft and feminine impression that can be enhanced by the use of light and gentle colors. Attention is created by stronger tones. You should also pay attention to your skin type. A light skin tone demands more of a contrast. It is important to be careful with pastels when the skin is very fair.

Women with darker hair can wear deeper tones. Everything is allowed, from red to champagne. Black hair looks particularly good with black or white. Brown hair goes great with earth tones such as brown, beige or champagne. Brunettes with brown eyes look best in make-up made of earth tones. Eye shadow in gold or brown works well. But ladies with dark hair can also wear red, purple or berry. Depending on her skin tone, a brunette woman has a wide range in color.

Women with red hair have to be very careful with their choice of color. Black will work for any redhead. In general, dark colors look great with red hair. But light colors like white may also work well. However, colors such as pink and red have to be chosen with care. Some women look great in red, but for most it is not a flattering tone. If you are unsure if red is your color, I would say: “stay way from red”.

There are more rules that I would like to bring to your attention in terms of color choice. It is an old wisdom that dark color makes the body appear more slender. This is especially true for the color black. Black does not exist in nature. It is a so-called “nothing”. This effect works particularly well for women who have a larger build. Tall women should avoid light colors. Rather wear dark and elegant tones. This way you surely cannot go wrong. Dark colors are classic and always appreciated.

An additional last suggestion is about the combination of age and color. Young women are fresh, fierce and cheerful. These women should wear light colors and strong patterns. Mature women look best in dark tones. Dark colors are elegant and fine – like a mature woman. This is a general rule and does not always apply. There are plenty of mature women who look great in light colors. I simply want to inspire your thoughts with appropriate suggestions.

This is the big ABC of the fashion industry. I hope that I was able to help you a little bit and wish you lots of joy looking through my collection. I am always happily available for any of your questions!

Truly yours,
Ines
