The fashion industry is a large and self-sufficient industry. Many designers work day and night at new designs, full of hope that their creation will be part of the fashion trade this year. Big magazines, such as Vogue and a few others, and the audience decide what will be a hit and what will be a flop. I would like to offer you a little summary of public opinions by sharing with you my version about fashion...
The boundary between hit and flop has become more and more blurred. If you want to dress fashionable, the most important factor is that whatever you wear needs to express your personality and fit your build. You first have to be aware of your advantages and disadvantages. Once you know your criteria, you may start looking through the world of fashion for inspiration.
Highly trendy right now is figure-accentuated clothing. Special attention seems to be drawn to the bust. It is highlighted in dresses, tops, shirts and jackets. In contrast to a few years ago, narrow shoulders are fashionable right now. The shape of pants for daytime accentuates feminine aspects through a tight-fitting leg. Hip huggers are not in fashion any longer, even though many young women still wear them. The classical Marlene Dietrich style for an elegant trouser is still very desired. Classical knee-length for skirts is back. However, this year as well as last year, hips are strongly emphasized. A narrow waist, a hugging cut on the hips down to the knees and a then flared skirt create a mermaid look, which is very trendy again.
All in all it can be stated that everything that looks feminine is also in fashion. Often seen right now are an accentuated waist, bust and hips, a feminine length of the skirt, tight but also wide pants.
The colors of this season are cobalt blue, berry and purple. Besides these deep reds and purple tones, the color combination of black and white is appropriate for daytime wear. And as every winter, colors from nature are especially popular, such as brown, grey and burgundy. Add olive green for a special effect. You will look great and fashionable with these colors.
One more detail, besides color and cut, is the fabric. This year shiny fabrics, such as satin, pearls and sequins are a real hit. Jeans combined with a satin blouse look especially fashionable! Rhinestones are the newest attempt of the fashion industry. There are shiny rhinestones for the eveningwear, or matt, nature-toned rhinestones for daytime wear.
